After caring for patients in private practice for two years, Dr. Cortez made the decision to give back to this great country and served in the United States Military stationed in Bavaria, Germany as a Dental Officer in the Army Dental Core from January of 2013 through July of 2015. During her time here, Dr. Cortez also volunteered with the American Red Cross in Germany to train family members of military personnel to become dental assistants.
Dr. Cortez also has a strong commitment to lifelong professional education and training within the industry. Thus, she participated in the Infection Control Manager and Train the Trainer in Patient Safety courses offered through the U.S. Department of Defense.
Since honorable discharge from the United States Army, Dr. Carolina Cortez has returned to Florida to build her practice within the community that she loves. She has completed her Dental Implant training from “Alabama Implant Educators” at Burmingham Alabama, is participating in continuing education at the “Atlantic Coast Dental Research Program” in Palm Beach Florida, and with “Implant Educators” in Davie Florida. Dr. Carolina Cortez has acquired her “Invisalign” Certification to help her patients with orthodontic needs. She is presently attending the “Phelan Dental Seminars” to help patients with complex cases, and has obtained her certification for Botox application by the “ Empire Medical
Training” and “Dental Spa Seminars ”. Dr. Cortez is also trained in Phlebotomy and practices Platelet Rich Plasma procedures for aesthetics such as facial rejuvenation as well as different osseous treatments.
